Big Snowfall For Dallas

On the Sunday evening of March 1st, a snow storm covered Gaston County with a very impressive blanket of about 6-7 inches in our area. This did not stop the fun! Several families hit their snowy lawns for an evening of building snowmen. Here are several that were spotted the next cold morning in the surrounding neighborhood.

Open Meeting Set for January 12, 2009

On Monday, January 12, 2009 at 6 p.m. an open Park Place HOA meeting will be held for those Park Place residents whom want to attend. At this meeting food and drinks will be provided. The location is conveniently set in downtown Dallas at the UAW Local 5286. The address is 112 West Trade Street, Dallas, N.C. 28034. Having noticed the address was posted incorrectly, this is the correct address. The location is in the row of businesses directly across the street from the Dallas Police Department.
Park Place has a wonderfully diverse community, people with a variety of stories and backgrounds. If you are a busy family, maybe you'll find a babysitter at the meeting. If you love books, there is sure to be another fanatic out there too. This is your big chance to to meet your neighbors and know those folks around you!
Apart from meeting the new Board of Directors elected to the HOA, a variety of matters important to homeowners will be discussed, including the budget for 2009. The meeting agenda will be formal so any topics for discussion must be pre-submitted for review by the HOA Board. The goal in pre-submitting is to organize and focus our discussion on pertinent business. Feel free to submit those ideas as a comment to this blog. For those wanting to submit alternatively, contact our new management company, Carolina Association Management, at 704-531-6822.
Please, your help is needed. Committee members will be added at this meeting in areas such as Neighborhood Watch, Building Violation & Upkeep, Website Design & Maintenance, and Newsletter. If you can offer any assistance in these areas, your support is welcome.
